Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP)

Volunteers Needed for Amery Hospital’s new Delirium Prevention Program

In October 2016, Amery Hospital & Clinic implemented a new delirium prevention program called the Hospital Elder Life Program, or HELP. This program is based on an award winning clinic trial at Yale with proven effectiveness to prevent delirium in elderly patients, who go home healthier and earlier.

Amery Hospital & Clinic is seeking volunteers to help support this important new program. Selected volunteers will be provided with thorough training and will visit with patients on a one-to-one basis to offer companionship and therapeutic activities to prevent confusion.

If you or someone you know is a mature, reliable, and compassionate individual interested in volunteering for the HELP program, please contact Kathy Rasmussen at 715-268-0682 or download the application here.
