Four Hospitals to Offer Know Your Numbers Health Fair

5/4/2015

Thrive Barron County is hosting a free Know Your Numbers screening for Barron County residents May 11 – 15, 2015. The event is sponsored by Cumberland Healthcare, Lakeview Medical Center, Mayo Clinic Health System and Turtle Lake Clinic-Amery Hospital & Clinic.

Last year over 600 people participated in the free county-wide screening event. Of those screened, just over 33% were found to be at risk for pre-diabetes and were not aware of it.
Could you be one of them? Know Your Numbers is a free way to find out.

Included in the free event are the following screenings: blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, HDL, glucose, body fat and body mass index (BMI). Come find out what these numbers mean to your health and if you are at risk for developing diabetes or other diseases. Resources will be available for you so once you receive your numbers you can better understand them.

The screenings will be offered at the following locations from 6-9 a.m. Make sure not to eat or drink anything 12 hours prior to your tests for the most accurate results. A free breakfast will be provided along with healthcare displays, giveaways and much more. Please feel free to choose the one that is most convenient for you:
