DOT Physical Exams: Is your doctor certified?

2/4/2015

In 2012, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) introduced a new safety regulation requiring all health care providers who perform medical examinations for interstate truck and bus drivers to be trained, tested, and certified on the specific physical qualifications that a affect a driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle. The new regulation was effective as of May 2014.

Interstate truck and bus drivers can receive certified DOT medical exams at Amery Hospital & Clinic as well as clinic locations in Clear Lake, Luck, and Turtle Lake, from DOT certified providers.
