Boost your child's learning

7/2/2014

The Amery Library was recently awarded a $500 Early Literacy Grant through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). As a participating library, they will focus on increasing early literacy offerings for individuals and families in the Amery area. The grant funds were allocated for book give-aways and through Scholastic, 400 books were purchased.

The Amery Library and ARMC have partnered to promote early literacy. Books will be gifted to 3 and 4 year olds during their Well-Child visits at ARMC and satellite locations. Because this age group is preparing for pre-school, early literacy efforts will significantly impact their learning.

Looking at books with your child every day is one of the most important things you can do for her/his future. Sharing books together strengthens your child's foundation for learning, which is why the Amery Library and ARMC are promoting early literacy.
