TRIA to launch sports performance program

TRIA GameFace combines sports performance with injury prevention, care, treatment and rehab

January 3, 2024

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. – TRIA Orthopedics is launching TRIA GameFace, a sports performance program that uniquely combines a highly-skilled and specialized group of sports performance coaches at GameFace with the medical expertise of physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists at TRIA.

“We have a rich history at TRIA of serving the needs of all athletes from professionals to those just starting out,” says Jessica Arneson, vice president, orthopedic and rehabilitation services. “The addition of sports performance allows us the opportunity to serve our athletes wholistically from injury to treatment, rehab and back to excellence in their sport.”

The partnership between TRIA and GameFace pairs world-class orthopedic care with a world-class reputation in training athletes at the local and national level. DeVentri Jordan created GameFace in 2012 and currently trains more than 900 athletes at all levels.

“GameFace is about changing people’s lives,” says Jordan. “I started GameFace for athletes like myself. Everyone is working hard, but not everyone has someone in their corner. These young people need someone to support and listen to them, but who also can push them. If they put in the work, they’ll see results. We will celebrate that success, but we are most proud of the people they become.”

The program will be housed in a new 17,000 square foot facility opening Feb. 5. It will include training space with signature black turf, a state-of-the-art weight system as well as TRIA clinic space and much more.

“I am so excited for the chance to sit down with the team of doctors, athletic trainers and physical therapists, in the same building and learn from them,” says Jordan. “Having us all under the same roof, it gives us the chance to cater everything to each individual athlete. As soon as you walk in those doors, you’ll see and feel what TRIA GameFace is all about.”

TRIA physicians have served as team physicians for local professional sports teams for more than 30 years, from the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins to the new PWHL Minnesota professional women’s hockey team. TRIA athletic trainers also partner with more than 3,000 collegiate athletes and more than 8,000 high school athletes.
