Health and Wellness Classes/Programs


Cardiac Rehab, Education and Support Group
This total program has been developed for people who have suffered a heart attack and for their families. Topics include anatomy and physiology, medication, nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, and new developments/trends in treating heart disease, stress, and other factors.

Diabetes Program and Support Group
The focus of this on-going group is to assist in the understanding of the disease and to help prevent complications.

Expectant Parent Class
The objectives of the class are to prepare you for danger signs, labor and delivery, complications, and c-sections. There is discussion on post-partum cares of both mother and infant and you will develop a good understanding of TOT Saver Techniques.

Nutrition Counseling
Counseling is available on a one-to-one basis involving weight control, diabetes, hypoglycemia, hypertension, underweight, heart disease, prenatal, infant and child nutrition, food allergies and eating disorders.

Pediatric Orientation and Children’s Health Fairs
Children may be brought into all areas of the facility, with staff explanations and demonstrations, all combined to make sure children are not afraid of coming into the hospital because they leave after experiencing positive learning experiences.

Sports Medicine Program
The Sports Medicine Program is provided at no cost to the student or the high school. Amery Regional Medical Center is absorbing the cost to provide the sports medicine program on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ARMC Sports Medicine Program is designed to provide the students with early intervention and comprehensive treatment for athletic injuries as well as help the healthy athlete enhance his or her performance through strength and agility conditioning. The program also focus's on injury prevention techniques.

Dr. Anthony Hall, Doctor of Chiropractic and Jeff Nasman, Physical Therapist and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist have teamed up to provide a sports medicine program sponsored by Amery Regional Medical Center for the students of Amery High School. Dr. Anthony Hall and Jeff Nasman work closely with the coaches, parents, family healthcare provider and athletes to facilitate a return to competition as quickly and as safely as possible.
