Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is a registered nurse who has completed advanced studies and is a special health care provider dedicated to improving children’s health. A PNP complements the Family Practice physician and performs basic duties once reserved for physicians, such as diagnosing and treating common illnesses and prescribing medication. Special goals are the development or behavior of the child, and emphasis is in working collaboratively with schools and other agencies to ensure children receive appropriate interventions and services when needed.Teri Kohlrusch, RN, CPNP
