AMERY, WI – Amery Regional Medical Center began leasing the former True Value building located at 220 North Keller Avenue downtown Amery as of May 1, 2005. The month of June will earmark the initial construction and remodeling of the facility. The location will become the future home of ARMC’s Rehab Services and Fitness Center, which will provide a comprehensive program for patients needing rehabilitation services.
Over the past three years, Rehab Services have doubled the volume of their patient treatments, which prompted the need for increased space. With this new off-site location, they have quadrupled their working space. Services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and a fitness center will be offered along with the future implementation of wellness programs.
Currently, ARMC’s Rehab Services will continue to operate within the Medical Center. However, ARMC anticipates the relocation of Rehab Services to be towards the end of October. As construction begins and progress occurs on the off-site location, ARMC will continue to keep the community informed.
“Not only will the new center offer rehab services as it has in the past,” said Jeff Nasman, Director of Rehab Services, “we will be able to offer wellness and fitness programs. These programs are designed for our patients who no longer require rehab, but need to continue with exercise to maintain and improve their health. The wellness programs also work for non-patients who are looking to improve their overall fitness level.” |
