Amery Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of the community. As a part of this mission, we administer a financial assistance program to help patients who need medical care, but have difficulty with related medical expenses. In our facilities, non-elective professional medical services will be provided without regard to the patient’s ability to pay and financial assistance will be made available.
General Program Requirements:
- To be eligible for program assistance the patient must qualify as described here. Program eligibility is based on income, assets, liabilities and family size. Specific options available to you are based on the balance owed and history of accounts with our facility.
- In order to be eligible, patients must apply for and use all government program assistance. Patients must comply with Medical Assistance application process. Patients may apply for Medical Assistance at the government office in the county which they reside.
- If patient is denied government assistance based on income guidelines, the patient may complete the ARMC Financial Assistance Program application and ARMC Patient Accounting will review and process accordingly.
- ARMC Patient Financial Services will review the application and all required supporting documentation. The approval process takes about 30 days. You will receive communication in writing of program acceptance and associated discount or program denial and other payment options.
- Any discounts you would receive would be on balances remaining after insurance payment.
- ARMC Sliding Discount Guidelines are based on the latest Health and Human Services (HHS) Federal Poverty Guidelines(FPG), based on the most recent FPG level.
- Application information will be reviewed and approved for up to 6 months. Updated information may be required at any time in order to determine continued eligibility for this program.
- Submit an ARMC Application for Financial Assistance and include the all information requested. Please carefully read the ARMC Application for Assistance Instructions as this document thoroughly explains documentations and approvals needed for assistance.
If determined eligible, the balance you are responsible for must be paid within the ARMC payment plan guidelines. You will receive communication in writing of program approval and associated assistance or program denial. With the exception of emergency services, persons residing in the ARMC primary service area will be given preference in the ARMC Assistance application approval.
Note: The above criteria are general guidelines. If there are extenuating circumstances, these will be taken into consideration upon application on a case-by-case basis. |
