Will my doctor and other providers be moving to the new location? Yes. Most of the medical and administrative staff will be moving to the new hospital with the exception of Dr. Brendel from Interventional Pain Specialists of Wisconsin. In addition, Sleep Studies will continue to be provided at the current facility.

How do I make an appointment at the new location? Please call the main switchboard at (715) 268-8000 and the operator will transfer you to scheduling. Your provider will be available at the new clinic location beginning October 15, 2007.

What time will inpatients be moved to the new facility? We will begin to move patients at 9am on Saturday, October 13th.

What do I do if I need Emergency services on Saturday, October 13th? The current facility at 225 Scholl Court will continue to provide ER services until 8 am on October 13th. After 8 am, you are directed to go to the new facility at 265 Griffin Street East for ER services. Urgent care services will be provided at the new facility located on Griffin Street, on Saturday, October 13th from 8:30am – 12:30 p.m.

How will maternity patients be transported? OB patients who have delivered will be transported by our Courtesy Van. Transportation will be provided for mom and baby. A nurse will accompany the family. Women who come to the current facility with signs of early labor will be directed to the new facility. Women who are in active labor will deliver at the current facility and then be transported after delivery to the new facility. We have made provisions at both facilities to be able to perform emergency C-sections.

Who will be with the patient during the move on October 13; and how will they be transported? We will be using a variety of transport modes to move patients; we will be using our Courtesy Van, the Polk County Care-a-van service, and our local ambulances. A member of our nursing staff will accompany each patient during the move.

How will meals be served on Saturday, October 13? Breakfast will be served early at 7:30am on the day of the move at the current facility; lunch will be the first meal served at the new facility.

When should family members come to the new medical center? Due to activity levels at both facilities, we ask that visitors wait until after 2pm on Saturday, October 13. By that time, all patients should be settled comfortably in their new room.

Where should families & patients park at the new medical center? Visitor and patient lots are available near the entrance of the hospital on Griffin Street. Please follow the signs stating “Visitor Parking” and “Patient Parking”.

Will my medical records be available at the new facility? Yes. All medical records will be securely transferred in their entirety.

What do I do about my prescriptions at the clinic pharmacy? Johnson Drug at ARMC will be closed on Friday, October 12th and will reopen on Monday, October 15th at the new location on Griffin Street.

It must take time to move all that equipment; will I be without a physician or other care provider while the hospital relocates? The relocation will take place the weekend of October 13 and 14. Clinic will be closed at noon on Friday, October 12 to allow for transfer of equipment. The move schedule has been carefully coordinated to make sure current hospital patients and those with appointments are not affected.
