ARMC's Behavioral Health Center is hosting speakers from NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) in observance of May as Mental Health Month.

Mental health issues affect every person throughout their lifetime whether it be a personal experience, a family member, or a friend. There has also been a stigma attached to persons who have a mental illness which often deter persons from getting the help that they need. ARMC has generously donated $5,000 per year for the next 5 years to the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County to help them in their efforts to “Reduce the Stigma of Mental Illness.”

Come hear the speakers from NAMI on Thursday May 13, 2010 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Conference rooms ABC at the Main Campus. Coffee and cookies will be served.
