 The Amery Regional Medical Center Foundation is hosting its 23rd Annual Golf Classic Fund-raiser on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Amery Golf Club.
This annual fund-raising effort enables ARMC to pay for community health programs, patient-focused projects, and technology that were unable to be included in the annual budget. The proceeds from this year’s tournament will assist in funding two separate yet unique patient care services and the annual high school scholarship program.
The first service provides ARMC patients transportation to and from clinic appointments. Proceeds from the fund raiser will assist in funding the new courtesy vehicle, which many patients have come to rely on for help as they are no longer able to drive.
The second service offers patients and families who live in the area comprehensive cancer care locally. The Cancer Center of Western Wisconsin is a new state-of-the-art facility located in New Richmond and is a regional partnership of six area hospitals, including ARMC, an oncology group, and a radiation therapy center. The new center not only provides world-class cancer care with renowned experts, but also offers patients the comfort of knowing home and family are just minutes away.
Every year, ARMC donates a total of seven healthcare scholarships to local area high schools. Students who are continuing their education in the healthcare field qualify and apply for the scholarship through their high school. Applicants are chosen by qualifying criteria and by the recommendations from faculty for academic achievement.
If you wish to participate in the scramble, a shotgun start is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. A contribution of $80 includes free lunch, 18-holes of golf, ½ golf cart, and dinner as well as team and individual awards and prizes. If you are unable to golf, please join us for dinner at a cost of $15 per person. The golf classic is limited to 36 teams, so gather your team and complete the registration form today.
Whether you choose to be a Gold ($500 donation), Silver ($300 donation), or a Bronze ($200 donation) sponsor, you are making a difference. All sponsors will receive signage along the cart path the day of the tournament, signage on the Sponsor board, and a special promotional thank you in the newspaper.
