Debra Rudquist, FACHE
President and Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Rudquist was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer December 2, 2014. Through this position she is responsible for the administration of the facility in all activities and departments. Prior to this appointment, she was the vice president of the cardiovascular service line at Fairview Health Services for five years. Under her leadership, Rudquist oversaw strategic and operational management of 13 cardiovascular clinics, three cardiovascular labs, two electrophysiology programs, two cardiothoracic surgery programs and a heart transplant & ventricular assist device program. Rudquist also spent 19 years at Allina Health, where she held several positions, including executive director of ambulatory services
Ms. Rudquist received her undergraduate degree from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She has a Master’s in Nursing Administration from the University of Minnesota and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Patrick Sura, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr.Sura is the Chief Medical Officer and is board certified in emergency medicine and family medicine. He joined the Amery Hospital & Clinic Medical staff in 2013.
Sandi Reed, RN, BSN, MS
Vice President of Ambulatory Services
Ms. Reed began her career with Amery Hospital & Clinic in 1982 as a nurse on staff. She then worked in the CCU/ICU, and ER departments. From that point she moved forward in her career as a House Supervisor and then on to Quality Improvement.
In 2002 Ms. Reed was promoted to the position of Administrator of Clinical Services and Quality Improvement. She supervises Amery Hospital & Clinic's four clinic locations, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging and the Wound Healing Center, and works closely with the Medical Staff Leadership team.
Joyce Schaefer, RN, BSN, MS
Vice President of Patient Care Services
Ms. Schaefer began her management career with Amery Hospital & Clinic in 1988 and currently serves the organization as Administrator of Patient Care Services and as the Compliance Officer. Her areas of responsibility include; Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Services, Nutrition Services, Rehab Services, Behavioral Health, and Compliance. She is also the management liaison for the Amery Area EMS Ambulance Service.
Ms. Schaefer received her nursing diploma from the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio, and received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Lewis University in 1984. She received a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration through the College of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois in 1990. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Compliance Association, and the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Executives.
Joanne Jackson, MOL, SPH R
Executive Director of Human Resources/Community Relations/Foundation
Ms. Jackson began her career with Amery Hospital & Clinic in April of 2004. She currently holds the position of Executive Director of Human Resources/Community Relations/Amery Hospital Foundation. Joanne's major responsibilities include employee recruitment, payroll, wage and benefit administration, employee engagement, culture development, community relations and foundation initiatives.
Margie Peterson, MD
Physician Leader/Family Medicine
Dr.Peterson is a board certified family medicine physician who joined the Amery Hospital & Clinic Medical staff in 1992.
